What You'll Do

• Perform field and shop maintenance on city-owned street lights and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot failures, replace parts, and repair components or entire light systems.
• Utilize specialized vehicles, equipment, and tools for maintenance activities.
• Assist in the maintenance of traffic signals and participate in emergency operations, including snow removal.
• Enter and extract data from the work management system using a computer.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of work experience in construction, engineering, or electrical activities.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance for tools and equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Valid Utah driver’s license and ability to obtain a Flagger Certification within one year.

Nice to Have

• Experience operating a bucket truck.
• Utah state electrical apprentice license within one year.
