About the Role

We are seeking a Strategy Manager - Telecom & Cloud to join our team at KPN. In this remote role, you will ensure that KPN makes the right strategic choices for the evolution of our network and cloud landscape. Thanks to your expertise, business priorities will be translated into clear target states, multi-year roadmaps, and execution-ready plans.

What You'll Do

  • Develop strategy, target state, and roadmaps across network infrastructure and cloud platforms.
  • Structure options and drive decisions on scalability, sovereignty, security, and cost.
  • Build robust business cases with CAPEX/OPEX drivers, benefits tracking, and risk assessment.
  • Align stakeholders across engineering, architecture, finance, operations, and commercial teams.
  • Produce executive-ready materials such as decision papers, briefings, and progress reports.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, portfolio/program roles, or technical leadership.
  • Working knowledge of telecom domains (fixed access, mobile RAN/core, IP/optical transport).
  • Understanding of cloud concepts (IaaS/PaaS, hybrid cloud, containers/Kubernetes).
  • Strong analytical skills with proven business case development capability.
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a similar role within the telecom or cloud industry.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Certifications in project management or strategy development.

What We Offer

  • Gross monthly salary between €6,774 and €10,701, depending on your experience.
  • A fixed 13th-month salary, partially paid monthly and partially in January.
  • Annual individual and collective salary increases according to our collective labor agreement (CAO).
  • €1,500 per year for personal development, which you can use for training, coaching, or courses.
  • Flexible vacation days, where you decide how to take time off.
  • Hybrid working model (2 days at the office, 3 days at home).
