About the Role

Join the Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI) as a Spanish/English Translator (Volunteer) - Remote. This is a unique opportunity to support climate change initiatives through the application of blockchain technology. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in translating documents and providing live interpretation, helping to bridge communication gaps in this vital field.

What You'll Do

• Translate documents between Spanish and English, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.
• Provide live interpretation during events and meetings, facilitating clear communication.
• Work under the direction of the Translation Manager to meet project deadlines.
• Assist with language-related queries from service users, enhancing their understanding of blockchain applications.
• Collaborate with other volunteers on various projects, fostering a supportive team environment.
• Participate flexibly based on your availability, contributing to ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English and Spanish at C1 level or higher, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to translate both ways (Spanish to English and vice versa).
• Experience in translation or interpreting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Commitment to the mission of BCI and a passion for climate change initiatives.
• Availability for translation work during events and willingness to assist developing country service users.
