About the Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer - P&C Insurance to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting technology and claims transformation initiatives for a leading Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance carrier. This is a critical position within a growing organization focused on modernizing systems and driving operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions for claims, underwriting, and reinsurance systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to define requirements and technical specifications.
• Work on system integrations, API development, and data processing solutions.
• Ensure high-quality code through testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications, ensuring system stability and scalability.
• Document technical processes, system architecture, and development workflows.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of experience in software development within the P&C insurance industry.
• Strong proficiency in Java, C#, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with insurance industry systems such as claims management, underwriting, or policy administration.
• Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
