About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable SHE Regional Specialist to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing our safety culture and ensuring compliance across multiple operational sites. As a SHE Regional Specialist, you will support the delivery of EMR’s Safety, Health and Environmental strategy, making a significant impact on our organization and the environment.

What You'll Do

  • Support the implementation of EMR’s SHE strategies, policies, and procedures across various sites.
  • Provide expert guidance and support during audits and investigations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Act as the primary SHE contact during Environmental Agency and Health and Safety Executive visits, inspections, and audits.
  • Identify high-hazard activities and ensure effective risk controls are in place to mitigate potential incidents.
  • Lead or assist in incident investigations and conduct Root Cause Analysis to prevent future occurrences.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.
  • Deliver and prioritize SHE training across sites to enhance knowledge and compliance.
  • Collaborate with site teams to analyze incidents and identify practical improvements to enhance safety performance.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Strong understanding of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, recycling, or similar operational environments.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to work effectively with site teams and management.
  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple locations and maintain organization.
  • Proactive mindset with a genuine commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in implementing SHE strategies in a multi-site environment.
  • Familiarity with environmental permits and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of safety management systems and auditing processes.
