Senior Technical Writer - Remote Role at vCluster

About the Role

As a Senior Technical Writer at vCluster, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product’s documentation experience. This Senior Technical Writer remote position allows you to architect a world-class documentation ecosystem that supports our users as they navigate the Kubernetes virtualization landscape.

What You'll Do

• Own the documentation architecture and strategy, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive documentation experience.
• Implement industry-standard frameworks like the Diátaxis framework to enhance user experience.
• Lead the consolidation of onboarding journeys into a singular, high-velocity “Golden Path” for new users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevRel, Engineering, and Product to create strong feedback loops.
• Manage the lifecycle of versioned, open-source, and platform documentation with a focus on quality over quantity.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Technical Writing or Developer Documentation.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes environments and cloud-native technologies.
• Ability to think strategically and anticipate user friction points in documentation.
• Experience with documentation analytics and user feedback loops.
• Proficiency in modern documentation practices, including docs-as-code.

Nice to Have

• Experience bridging the gap between open-source community docs and commercial platforms.
• Familiarity with automation and AI-driven knowledge bases.
