What You'll Do

  • Engage with prospective customers to understand their needs and demonstrate the value of Sourcegraph’s solutions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Field Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Lead technical discussions and presentations, showcasing Sourcegraph’s capabilities to a technical audience.
  • Mentor and train new team members, sharing your expertise in pre-sales engineering.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the sales process and contribute to internal projects that enhance our offerings.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar role, particularly in pre-sales environments.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software solutions and the software development lifecycle.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or Go.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to customer engagement.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with back-end infrastructure architecture.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role within the technology sector.
