Senior Solution Field Engineer - Remote Support for Security Systems

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Solution Field Engineer to join our Services team at Motorola Solutions. This Senior Solution Field Engineer remote position will focus on the installation, maintenance, and support of IT, networking, video, and security systems, ensuring their efficient and reliable operation across various projects.

What You'll Do

• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of technical equipment including Juniper networking, virtualization OS, and Windows servers.
• Provide support for datacenter operations, ensuring hardware and software maintenance is up to date.
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux operating systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Manage and configure network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Execute general maintenance and support for a variety of IT systems and hardware, diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.
• Interact directly with customers to understand their IT needs and provide effective solutions, maintaining positive relationships.
• Strictly follow cybersecurity guidelines and document technical procedures and solutions.
• Act as the technical point of contact for support activities, escalating issues to vendors when necessary.

Requirements

• Engineering Degree in Telecommunications, IT, or Electronics.
• 4+ years of experience in the telecommunications and IT fields.
• Mid/High degree of fluency in Spanish and English.
• Proactive attitude in customer service with a strong focus on satisfying customer needs.
• Availability to travel when possible in a normal business environment.
• IT certifications such as VMware or Microsoft Administration are valued.
• Experience in network monitoring with solutions like Nagios or Zabbix.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service.

Nice to Have

• CCNA certification.
• Experience with ITSM platforms like iTOP.
• Knowledge of Agile and ITIL methodologies.
