About the Role

Join Vali Cyber as a Senior Software Engineer and take charge of developing our cloud services. This Senior Software Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems that secure infrastructures globally. You will be responsible for creating scalable cloud services that handle millions of requests daily while ensuring low latency and high availability.

What You'll Do

  • Apply secure development practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Design and implement real-time data pipelines for alerting and observability systems.
  • Utilize messaging patterns to build reliable, event-driven architectures.
  • Implement caching strategies to optimize real-time data throughput.
  • Package and deploy solutions across air-gapped, on-premises, and cloud environments.
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs as a first-class product.
  • Design comprehensive test strategies focusing on API security and reliability.
  • Translate high-level goals into working implementations for team review.

Requirements

  • Must reside in the Eastern U.S. time zone; Atlanta, GA-based applicants preferred.
  • BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field with at least three years of professional experience.
  • Proficiency with algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience in secure coding, data protection, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience delivering distributed systems in production.
  • Familiarity with React, TypeScript, and relational databases.
  • Experience with message brokers and caching layers in production systems.
  • Commitment to automated testing and continuous integration practices.

  • Experience with container workflows and deploying images to varied environments.
  • Strong architectural understanding of design patterns and protocols.
  • Self-directed with a strong work ethic and effective communication skills.
