Senior Software Development Engineer in Test & Tools - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test & Tools to join our team at Rovio Entertainment. This remote position allows you to work on the iconic Angry Birds Friends game, ensuring a high-quality player experience through robust testing and tooling solutions.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain tools for manual and automated testing of game features in Unity.
• Own the full lifecycle of testing tooling, from technical design to continuous improvement.
• Ensure high code quality, usability, and scalability of the tools you develop.
• Support the team in achieving project goals by improving testing efficiency and stability.
• Mentor less experienced team members and share best practices across the studio.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and other disciplines to raise overall quality standards.

Requirements

• Solid programming skills in C#, with a strong foundation in software engineering.
• Proven experience in test automation and tool development, ideally in Unity-based environments.
• Good understanding of software architecture, clean code practices, and CI systems (e.g., Jenkins).
• Experience with testing frameworks, agile development methods, and mobile platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience developing workflows using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude).
• Knowledge of Unity UI Toolkit.
• Background in game development or live service environments.
