Senior QA Engineer - Remote Position at Sporty Group

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team at Sporty Group. In this Senior QA Engineer remote position, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of every release that goes out. Sporty isn’t like other organizations that just see QA as a blocker – we empower our QA team members to decide what is ready for launch and what needs more work. You will act as a Hybrid QA Engineer, utilizing your skills in both manual testing and automation processes. You will be involved at every step of the development process, from requirements capture and estimation to final testing and launching.

What You'll Do

• Conduct testing (black box, white box, integration, and performance) of the Web and Android/iOS platforms.
• Track and record product issues and analyze problems using various tools, providing feedback to relevant personnel.
• Write test plans, test cases, and output test reports according to feature requirements.
• Share test-related information with team members and simulate user needs and actual usage scenarios.
• Actively participate in team discussions, challenging requirements and acceptance criteria for clarity and testability.
• Create automated Web, Mobile, and API test cases, tracking and analyzing automated tests to improve efficiency.
• Develop automated tests and test frameworks, improving our Continuous Integration pipeline.
• Review designs and code from others, providing constructive feedback.
• Continuously develop your own skills and mentor less experienced team members.
• Identify and execute on opportunities to improve or establish quality processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of testing experience.
• Solid understanding of testing types: unit, integration, end-to-end, regression, stress/performance, and API testing.
• Experience with Web, Android, iOS, and API manual testing.
• Working knowledge of relational databases, preferably MySQL.
• Strong experience with Python.
• Experience with automation testing knowledge with REST APIs.
• Experience in test automation for mobile apps (Android and iOS).
• Experience in automation testing for web apps (Selenium/Playwright).
• Docker and Kubernetes experience would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with Jira/Jenkins would be advantageous.

Nice to Have

• Working knowledge of NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
