Senior QA Automation Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

FileCloud is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Europe. This fully remote role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of our software through advanced automation and testing methodologies. As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain our automation framework while collaborating closely with delivery teams to enhance efficiency and accuracy in our automation suite.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Typescript and various testing tools to create repeatable tests that verify software functionality.
• Collaborate with developers and quality engineers (QEs) to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Conduct exploratory testing to identify defects and inconsistencies in the software.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated tests are integrated and executed as part of the development process.
• Create and manage test data sets to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Participate in peer reviews of code to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Document test plans, test cases, bug reports, and automation scripts.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, Typescript, or Python.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, PyTest, Protractor, Karate, and Codeception.
• Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SOAPUI.
• Ability to design maintainable, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Understanding of NoSQL databases and ability to write queries for database testing.
• Experience with stress and load testing tools such as JMeter.
• Experience with AI adoption for streamlining Quality Assurance.
