Senior Product Designer - Web & App for Automotive Marketplace

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer (Web & App) to join our team at Gaspedaal.nl, part of the AutoScout24 Group. In this Senior Product Designer remote role, you will have the opportunity to impact millions of users by designing intuitive and visually distinctive experiences that enhance the online car search process.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to form a strong product trio, continuously discovering and solving customer problems.
• Conduct structured customer research and set up experiments to validate assumptions before development.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for product experiences, from opportunity discovery to successful launch and optimization.
• Design impactful, intuitive, and consistent web and app experiences that contribute to product and business goals.
• Utilize data, customer insights, and experiment results to make informed decisions and guide the product vision for Gaspedaal.nl.
• Maintain best practices and standards in UX, interaction, performance, and accessibility.
• Enhance and maintain the design system for consistent user experiences.
• Engage stakeholders in decision-making and demonstrate the impact of design choices.
• Actively contribute to the design community and inspire colleagues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer within digital products, with a strong focus on web and mobile apps (iOS & Android).
• A compelling portfolio showcasing how you arrived at solutions through discovery and iteration that have demonstrably impacted products and business.
• Experience with continuous discovery: conducting customer interviews, validating assumptions, and setting up experiments before development.
• The ability to define complex problems clearly and translate them into actionable choices.
• Deep knowledge of UX principles, interaction design, and platform guidelines.
• Comfort in a product trio with shared ownership of results.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• A passion for automotive is a plus, but a drive to improve user experiences is essential.

Nice to Have

• Experience in agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of front-end development (HTML/CSS) is a plus.
