About the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Product Designer remote position at Yahoo. As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision and design of the Yahoo Lightyear CMS. Your innovative and scalable design solutions will help create a best-in-class experience for our content creators, allowing them to work intuitively and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end design for core features and workflows in the Yahoo Lightyear CMS.
• Craft modular, scalable systems that maintain consistency across the product.
• Champion minimalist solutions that enhance clarity and usability.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and brand teams to translate ideas into polished experiences.
• Prototype at high fidelity to explore concepts, validate hypotheses, and communicate design intent effectively.
• Contribute to design direction on strategically important initiatives, partnering with senior designers and design leadership.
• Gather insights through collaboration with researchers, synthesizing findings to refine design approaches.
• Present design work with clarity and confidence, grounding decisions in user needs and business priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Visual Communication, HCI, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience designing digital products, with a strong emphasis on visual design.
• A portfolio showcasing refined, high-quality design across both product and marketing experiences.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles with the ability to balance brand with usability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience presenting to executive stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience in advertising marketplaces.
• Familiarity with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Framer, Claude Code, V0, and Cursor.
• Curiosity about emerging tools and technologies, particularly AI’s role in design workflows.
