Senior Product Data Scientist - Remote Role at MoonPay
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Product Data Scientist to join our innovative team at MoonPay. In this remote role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our product and payments strategy through data analysis, experimentation, and collaboration with stakeholders. Your insights will drive meaningful business impact and help us onboard the world to the decentralized economy.
What You'll Do
- Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on a deep understanding of MoonPay products, identifying opportunities for product improvements.
- Work closely with our payments product vertical and business stakeholders to review product performance and deliver data-driven strategies for optimization.
- Define KPIs, design tracking, and set up monitoring for new product launches and changes.
- Oversee and implement A/B tests and other experiments to drive optimization efforts.
- Design, build, and scale both internal and external data products that drive informed decision-making, such as dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Communicate complex concepts and findings to technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and understanding to drive critical business decisions.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a data scientist or data analyst, preferably in a product-focused role.
- Advanced SQL, data modeling, and data visualization tools are second nature to you.
- Understanding of statistics and probability, with experience in conducting large-scale A/B tests.
- Experience working with product teams in an analytics role.
- An active interest in cryptocurrency and previous interaction with crypto/blockchains.
- Experience in the fintech and/or crypto space is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills to summarize complex data findings for various audiences.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with DBT, Google BigQuery, Looker, and Python.
- Experience in start-ups or scale-ups.
- Working knowledge of Machine Learning principles.
