Join IonQ as a Senior Procurement Partner - Electronics & Structural Commodities, where you will play a pivotal role in our Commodity Management team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of the world's most powerful full-stack quantum computer. As a Senior Procurement Partner, you will engage in strategic sourcing and procurement activities that are essential for driving our advanced hardware programs. This role allows for hybrid and remote work options, making it ideal for candidates looking for flexibility.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with the Commodity Management team to refine sourcing strategies for electronics and structural components.
  • Review engineering drawings and BOMs to create structured RFQ and RFP packages for PCBAs, electronic assemblies, and machined components.
  • Conduct comprehensive cost analysis and benchmark comparisons to support supplier negotiations.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and identify sourcing risks to ensure alignment with forecasted demand.
  • Monitor delivery performance and proactively manage supply or quality risks.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and export requirements throughout the sourcing process.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in direct materials procurement or strategic sourcing within electronics or structural manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and BOM structures effectively.
  • Experience in supplier negotiations and familiarity with MRP or ERP systems.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and stakeholder alignment capabilities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in commodity management or category management structures.
  • Background in electronics manufacturing services, PCBA, or structural fabrication sourcing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost analysis and value engineering.
