Senior People Operations Manager - Remote Role

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior People Operations Manager to join our dynamic team at Pesty Marketing. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to shape and professionalize our people operations as we scale our business. With a projected revenue growth from $2M to $5M this year, your role will be crucial in ensuring our people operations keep pace with our growth.

What You'll Do

• Own and professionalize Pesty Marketing’s people operations, ensuring compliance and lifecycle management are handled efficiently.
• Manage payroll, benefits, and compliance for U.S. employees and offshore contractors using Gusto.
• Develop and maintain systems for onboarding and offboarding processes across all roles and geographies.
• Build repeatable SOPs that scale as headcount grows, ensuring all people-related administrative work is fully owned.
• Oversee contracts, role changes, promotions, and title updates, ensuring accuracy across all documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of U.S. employment compliance and contractor management.
• Hands-on experience with Gusto and Google Workspace.
• High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
• Ability to operate independently with minimal executive direction.

Nice to Have

• Experience transitioning from fractional or founder-led HR to in-house ownership.
• Familiarity with distributed or offshore teams.
• Experience managing a QSEHRA program.

• Base Salary: $80,000–$95,000.
