Senior Packaging Innovation Manager - Luxury Skincare

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Packaging Innovation Manager to join our team at La Prairie, focusing on luxury skincare packaging innovation. This role is pivotal in driving the development of innovative packaging solutions that align with our commitment to sustainability and luxury experiences. As a Senior Packaging Innovation Manager remote, you will leverage your expertise to scout emerging technologies and industry trends, ensuring La Prairie remains at the forefront of luxury skincare innovation.

What You'll Do

• Lead the exploration and development of new packaging concepts and technologies, focusing on advanced materials and breakthrough luxury experiences.
• Drive early-stage technical assessments, prototyping, and feasibility validation of innovative solutions in collaboration with internal experts and external partners.
• Oversee the design, engineering, and validation of new molds and tooling required for innovative packaging concepts.
• Support the creation of innovation-related contracts and technical agreements for new technologies or materials.
• Continuously improve the innovation testing framework, ensuring robust evaluation of new concepts and technologies.

Requirements

• Packaging engineer or comparable education.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in packaging development with a strong focus on innovations in luxury cosmetics.
• Strong capability in early-stage innovation development, including feasibility assessment, prototyping, and technical validation.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of sustainability, compliance, and regulatory needs for innovative solutions.
• Fluent in English; very good German language knowledge is beneficial.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP and regulatory documentation.
• Knowledge of luxury market trends and consumer preferences.
• Familiarity with sustainability practices in packaging.
