About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native) to join our dynamic team at Deel. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere, contributing to our mission of unlocking global opportunities through innovative software solutions. As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our mobile application, ensuring a seamless user experience for our global clientele.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop robust, user-friendly mobile applications using React Native.
  • Collaborate closely with the frontend team to integrate mobile applications with web services and APIs.
  • Work with product managers and UI designers to deliver high-quality, responsive user interfaces.
  • Drive initiatives across teams with an ownership mindset.
  • Implement and maintain state management solutions for efficient data flow within mobile applications.
  • Ensure seamless integration of mobile applications with server-side languages, particularly Node.js.
  • Optimize mobile applications for performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in mobile development and contribute innovative ideas to the team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, with at least 3 years of experience in React and React Native development.
  • Expertise in React, TypeScript, and state management tools.
  • Proven track record of deploying apps on app stores.
  • Strong understanding of mobile apps and delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to new technologies.
  • Experience with Swift, Java, or OTA is a plus.
  • Experience writing unit tests with React Native Testing Library and Vitest.
  • Experience with end-to-end testing using Detox.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Background in UI/UX design principles.
