Senior Metallurgist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Metallurgist to join our dynamic team at Lundin Mining, offering a unique opportunity to work remotely. In this role, you will consolidate information related to the analysis of variables and results from the Candelaria and PAC concentrator plants, providing essential recommendations to meet production goals.

What You'll Do

• Consolidate operational data and analyze variables to ensure production targets are met.
• Distribute activities, coordinate resources, and control program execution, including approving internal requests.
• Review and validate metallurgical laboratory procedures, including sampling and testing protocols.
• Conduct safety talks, monitor training statuses, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Evaluate proposals from contractors and manage the procurement of new tools and software.
• Control project progress and participate in budget preparation and management.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory competencies required for the role.
• Engage in activities that align with the RMMS Management System, focusing on safety, health, governance, and environmental aspects.

Requirements

• Professional academic background in Civil Engineering with a focus on Metallurgy.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in a plant setting, specializing in comminution or concentration.
• Proficient in Office, SAP, and PI software.
• Familiarity with plant simulation software such as Moly Cop Tools and JFSimMet.
• Knowledge of statistical software is a plus.
• Possession of a Class B driver's license.
