About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Medical Underwriting Nurse Manager - Remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a team of medical underwriters, ensuring the highest standards of risk assessment and underwriting practices in the healthcare sector. What You'll Do

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in medical underwriting or clinical risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare plans, claims analysis, and underwriting strategy.
  • Proficient in data analysis and financial projections related to underwriting.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing a team effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and clinical research is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Certification in medical underwriting or related field.
  • Experience with self-insured and level funded markets.
  • Familiarity with medical writing and clinical documents.
