About the Role

What You'll Do
- Design and implement tools/functions that LLMs can reliably call, ensuring robust error handling and comprehensive documentation.
- Develop user-friendly interfaces in collaboration with designers, focusing on simplicity for non-technical users.
- Build retry logic, fallbacks, and self-correction mechanisms to enhance user experience.
- Instrument applications by adding tracking and logging to measure real impact and iterate based on data.
- Create background workflows that chain multiple operations together, improving efficiency.
- Mentor teammates through code reviews and pair programming, raising the engineering bar.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in shipping production full-stack applications.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Node.js, and React, with a focus on clean architecture.
- Experience with LLM tool calling, function definitions, and prompt engineering.
- Solid understanding of how technical decisions affect user experience.
- Ability to navigate large codebases and comprehend service boundaries.
- Strong code review skills to catch bugs before they reach production.
- Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate development.
Nice to Have
- Experience with FastAPI and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with AWS and DevOps tooling such as GitHub Actions and Grafana.

Who Will Succeed Here
Proficiency in Python and FastAPI for developing scalable backend services, with a strong understanding of asynchronous programming and RESTful API design.
