Senior Financial Analyst - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst remote to join our innovative team at Rogers Communications. This role is pivotal in managing and developing financial activities for Rogers Wireless service revenue and wireless equipment finance. As a Senior Financial Analyst remote, you will collaborate closely with various teams to provide value-added financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring our financial strategies align with our business goals.

What You'll Do

• Oversee forecasting and budgeting for wireless revenue and hardware planning.
• Manage the month-end closing and planning process with a thorough understanding of IFRS 15 contract accounting.
• Lead the analysis of weekly and monthly results, issuing required reports and reconciliations.
• Coordinate revenue-related issues with various departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct analysis on subscriber and revenue trends, providing actionable recommendations.
• Prepare month-end variance analysis and commentaries against budget and forecasts.
• Build and maintain revenue and KPIs budget and forecast models at both regional and national levels.
• Ensure data integrity in models and reports while innovating existing reports for efficiency.
• Lead special projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.
• Provide self-driven financial analysis to improve business performance.

Requirements

• A strong technical accounting background with an accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) or MBA.
• 3-5 years of progressive financial experience, ideally in a telecommunications environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
• Comfort and confidence in dealing with senior leadership.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Expert-level proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching and mentoring.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Knowledge of Essbase and V21 is a plus.
