Senior Financial Analyst - Remote Blockchain Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst remote to join our mission-driven team at the Stellar Development Foundation (SDF). Since 2014, SDF has been at the forefront of blockchain technology, creating equitable access to the global financial system. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and providing key insights to senior leadership, supporting strategic decision-making.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with department heads to gather assumptions and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Build and maintain complex financial models to analyze performance and scenario planning, evaluating financial and operational results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Conduct credit and strategic alignment analyses on potential partnerships, assessing fit, scale, and strategic value.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards, supporting month-end close by preparing variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast).
• Contribute to long-range planning and strategic initiatives, analyzing potential investments, cost-saving initiatives, and business development opportunities.
• Recommend and implement process improvements in financial planning systems and reporting.
• Help oversee digital token payments, due diligence, reporting, and reconciliation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA, CFA, or CPA is a plus).
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, FP&A, or financial analysis.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling using Google Sheets and experience with ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite, SAP).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong interest in the blockchain industry.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with BI/reporting tools.
• Experience in credit analysis.
• Knowledge of cash flow analysis.
