Senior Fashion Designer - Relocation Support

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Fashion Designer to join our team at Sharleez Bridal. As a Senior Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative designs and patterns that meet our clients' needs.

What You'll Do

• Draw, lay out, and cut master patterns for various products.
• Create size variations from master patterns using computer or drafting instruments.
• Estimate the amount of fabric required for each product.
• Examine sketches and samples to determine the number, size, and shape of pattern parts.
• Mark patterns with details such as pockets, pleats, and decorative stitching.
• Utilize software tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to enhance designs.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure high-quality production standards.
• Maintain attention to detail and manual dexterity throughout the design process.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in fashion design or a related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of pattern design and layout.
• Excellent oral communication skills and client focus.
• Ability to distinguish between colors and demonstrate manual dexterity.
• Willingness to relocate to Canada for this position.

Nice to Have

• Experience in lingerie, undergarments, and swimwear design.
• Knowledge of cutting machines and fabric types.
• Previous experience working in a rural area or small fashion house.
