Senior Engineering Project Manager - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Sun Chemical. This Senior Engineering Project Manager remote position offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage significant CAPEX projects across the Americas, ensuring they are executed within budget, timeline, and safety parameters.

What You'll Do

• Plan and execute defined scope of CAPEX measures and projects, ensuring compliance with budget, time, quality, and safety standards.
• Prepare project approval documentation and manage all project phases from initial scoping to start-up.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as R&D, Operations, EHS, and Procurement.
• Manage engineering consultants, contractors, and project team members effectively.
• Conduct regular project controlling and reporting to the Steering Committee and Senior Management.
• Ensure all project documentation is complete and meets internal and external standards.
• Coach and mentor less experienced colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 15 years of experience in project engineering or comparable technical roles.
• 10 years of direct project experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with Chemical Processing and grinding & dispersing technology.
• Familiarity with NFPA, ATEX, and ICC building codes.
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.

Nice to Have

• Formal training in Project Management.
• Experience in cost engineering.
• Knowledge of risk analysis techniques.
