Senior Electrician - EV Charging Infrastructure

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrician to join our team at Pod Point, a leading provider of EV charging infrastructure in the UK. In this role, you will transition from hands-on electrical work to a more strategic position as a Technical Delivery Manager. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that every project is executed with excellence, efficiency, and compliance, contributing to a greener future.

What You'll Do

• Own the technical end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring quality, compliance, safety, and timely execution.
• Conduct pre-site surveys to assess feasibility and readiness for installation.
• Collaborate with pre-construction and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee electrical and civil works, ensuring all technical work meets required standards.
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams, providing progress reports and risk insights.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and site owners.
• Enforce health, safety, and regulatory standards across all project sites to comply with CDM 2015 Regulations.
• Work with Installation Partners to support delivery and enhance process efficiencies.
• Be flexible and willing to assist with complex installation and maintenance work as needed.
• Site manage projects as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in delivering a variety of electrical installation projects from initiation to completion.
• Background in electrical installation and maintenance.
• Experience within the EV industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of CDM 2015, RAMS, and site safety practices.
• Excellent communication skills across clients, contractors, and site teams.
• Attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Must have qualifications: BS7671:2018 Wiring Regs, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent, ECS Gold Card.
