Senior DevSecOps Engineer - Cloud Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join our team at GovCIO, where you will play a pivotal role in transforming government IT. This Senior DevSecOps Engineer remote position allows you to work from anywhere in the United States while providing development, support, architecture, and leadership for government applications being migrated to the AWS cloud.

What You'll Do

• Build and code applications using Java, Angular, and AWS, ensuring compliance with software standards.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, and quality assurance.
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventive measures to enhance system reliability.
• Educate teams on cloud-based initiatives and provide training to ensure smooth implementation.
• Create blueprints for hybrid cloud infrastructures, focusing on network, server, storage, and security.
• Run technical workshops and advise customers on architectural decisions.
• Ensure timely delivery of quality solutions within budget, meeting client satisfaction.
• Develop technical content such as white papers and documentation for cloud solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in solutions design and engineering, specifically with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools like GitLab and experience with Agile methodologies.
• Strong automation skills with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Deep understanding of cloud component architecture, including microservices and containers.
• Experience with end-to-end cloud migration and solutions design.
• AWS Associate/Professional certification is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct testing at various project stages.
