Senior Developer Advocate - Remote Position

About the Role

Join the Stellar Development Foundation as a Senior Developer Advocate in a remote position, where you will work on cutting-edge blockchain technology and help create equitable access to the global financial system. Since 2014, the mission-driven team at SDF has fueled the tremendous growth of the Stellar blockchain network, an open-source platform that operates at high scale today. As a Senior Developer Advocate, you will leverage the launch of smart contracts on Stellar to increase developer participation and bootstrap the ecosystem of tools, protocols, dapps, and educational resources necessary for Stellar to succeed.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute engaging strategies for in-person activations that inspire the next generation of developers to experiment and build with Stellar.
• Give keynotes, lead workshops, and provide hands-on mentorship sessions at conferences, hackathons, and builder events globally.
• Create tutorials, videos, code samples, and docs to help developers understand what’s possible with Stellar and empower community members.
• Review technical documentation, pull requests, and ecosystem contributions, maintaining high standards and encouraging best practices.
• Seek out builders in other ecosystems excited about blockchain and AI, and integrate them into the Stellar developer community.
• Drive participation in developer-facing programs such as the Stellar Ambassador Program and the Stellar Community Fund.

Requirements

• 5+ years as a developer advocate in web3 with a strong engineering background.
• Experience using AI as part of your development workflow, enhancing productivity and creativity.
• Ability to write technical documentation and developer guides, resolving top-priority issues quickly.
• Familiarity with smart contract platforms (Wasm- or EVM-based) and understanding subtle platform differences.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with a passion for sharing knowledge.
• A portfolio showcasing your web3 DevRel work or an active social media presence demonstrating your industry leadership.
• A playbook of web3 DevRel ideas to bring to the Stellar ecosystem.
• A passion for building and helping others bring their ideas to life through code, AI tools, or creative experimentation.

Nice to Have

• Experience writing and deploying smart contracts across multiple chains, including Stellar.
• Experience building full-stack applications using JavaScript and React.
• Familiarity with Rust or eagerness to learn.
• Engagement with the Stellar community.
