Senior Database Engineer - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Database Engineer - Remote to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex database systems that support our cloud infrastructure. As a Senior Database Engineer, you will work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a global team to deliver high-quality database solutions.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement robust database architectures using AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Manage and optimize databases such as Aurora MySQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
• Develop and maintain ETL and ELT processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code and automate database provisioning.
• Collaborate with software development teams to integrate database solutions into applications.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
• Mentor junior database engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a database engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling techniques.
• Experience with shell scripting and automation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Cockroach DB and Redis.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with offensive security practices and penetration testing.
