Senior Data Engineer - Remote Position in FinTech

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer - Remote to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our data architecture and systems, which are vital for our rapidly expanding platform. Your contributions will directly enhance the efficiency of our data handling processes and the robustness of our reporting functionalities.

What You'll Do

  • Utilize Google Big Query and GCP Suite or similar big data tools to fulfill data warehouse and reporting requirements.
  • Employ Databricks and other ETL tools to extract and transform high-volume records.
  • Architect, design, and build pipelines to efficiently move large amounts of data from various sources.
  • Enhance existing data warehouse architecture for improved reporting capabilities.
  • Manage large volumes of data and complex integration processes.
  • Develop reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Experience with Firestore is a plus.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in programming, primarily with JavaScript, SQL, and Python.
  • Familiarity with Web3 and decentralized applications (dapps) is a plus.
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
  • Expertise in ETL tools and data transformation processes.
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies and SCRUM processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Interest in digital assets, decentralized finance, and cryptocurrencies.
  • Passionate about software quality and test-driven development.
