Senior Data Architect - Remote Contract Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect - Remote to join an innovative client project on a contract basis. In this role, you will lead the design and planning of the client’s complete data architecture, developing scalable, efficient, and secure data solutions that align with their business objectives. As a Senior Data Architect, you will play a key role in defining data models, data flows, and storage infrastructure, ensuring accessibility, integrity, and security while building end-to-end solutions from scratch.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement an organizational data strategy in line with business processes.
• Support project proposals with technical expertise.
• Establish and enforce data standards, policies, and governance practices.
• Evaluate and recommend data technologies throughout project lifecycles.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to teams on data architecture and governance.
• Create and maintain processes to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in data architecture principles and best practices.
• Experience designing and implementing data models, database schemas, and end-to-end data solutions.
• Strong knowledge of data integration tools and techniques (ETL/ELT).
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and privacy requirements.
• Experience with data storage and processing technologies (data warehouses, data lakes).
• Knowledge of cloud-based platforms (AWS Redshift, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, or similar).
