About the Role
We are seeking a Senior C/Unix Developer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in C and Unix to design, develop, and implement complex applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide technical leadership and guidance to less experienced developers while working on innovative projects that impact our clients.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, install, test, and document complex applications software, including server, client, and web components.
- Provide technical consulting on complex projects and contribute to the design and delivery of technical architecture solutions.
- Analyze, design, and review applications to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Assist in overseeing relationships between application architects and development teams to ensure coordinated product development.
- Develop and provide technical documentation, participate in test-plan development, integration, and deployment.
- Guide and mentor less experienced developers, ensuring adherence to specifications and best practices.
- Participate in cost analysis studies to determine feasibility of approaches.
- Utilize your experience in development methodologies to define and develop project requirements and functional specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Six or more years of experience in product design and support.
- Proficiency in C, Oracle, SQL, and TFS within a Unix/Linux environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with developers, customers, and management.
- Experience with the full software development life cycle.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in mentoring and training less experienced developers.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in healthcare systems.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with additional programming languages.
