About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer - Solutions Architect to join our team at Systems Technology Group. This role is a unique opportunity to work directly with Fortune 500 and State Government clients, focusing on the migration of on-prem applications to the Cloud. As a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and implementing Azure Infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. This position is not only about technical skills but also about ensuring the reliability and performance of our applications in a cloud environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the migration of on-prem applications to Azure Cloud, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal downtime.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps tools, ensuring efficient software delivery.
  • Set up and manage infrastructure environments on Azure using an infrastructure-as-code approach with Terraform.
  • Monitor application performance and reliability, providing L3 support for production incidents.
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues, enhancing the overall application lifecycle.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers and developers in best practices for Azure and DevOps.
  • Perform proof of concepts (POC) for new technology solutions recommended by architects.
  • Provide on-call support as needed, ensuring continuous application availability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficient in Azure Cloud technologies, including Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Monitor, and Azure Storage.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and FluxCD.
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance practices in cloud environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Experience with monitoring solutions like Datadog is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Helm Chart, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Previous experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
