Senior Associate/​Director - Trading Desk Operations (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Associate/Director in Trading Desk Operations to join our trading team. This remote Senior Associate/Director role offers a unique opportunity to support the operational side of our trading desk, focusing on trading and funding operations while streamlining processes to facilitate the growth of our trading business.

In this position, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the trade life cycle for the specific trading desk you will support, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Provide dedicated end-to-end trade support to assigned trading desks, including trade bookings, trade verifications, balance and position reconciliations, and P&L attributions.
• Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks, delays, and other issues that may arise throughout the trade life cycle.
• Utilize coding skills to develop and enhance booking and reconciliation procedures.
• Monitor risk positions in real-time against internal thresholds and create new monitoring tools for the desk.
• Design and develop booking models for new products, ensuring corresponding checks and reconciliations are in place.
• Set up new accounts and trading books while maintaining data integrity and mapping.
• Perform funding operations and settlement checks, investigating and resolving fund transfer issues in collaboration with Treasury or external brokers.
• Review funding usage and manage internal capital distribution records.
• Assist in analyzing trading performance, P&L, and risk attribution.
• Respond promptly to urgent requests from trading desks regarding trade bookings or funding requests.
• Engage with developers on projects aimed at enhancing system infrastructure and controls.

Requirements

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a Quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years of experience on the trading floor as a Trading Assistant, Trade Support, or in relevant functions such as Middle Office or Product Control within a financial services or crypto trading firm.
• Working knowledge of Python and a desire to expand your technical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset and a high degree of accuracy.
• A positive, proactive attitude with critical thinking skills, striving for continuous improvement.
• A product owner mentality, results-oriented, capable of thinking outside the box and delivering under pressure.
• A passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain, thriving in a dynamic environment.
