Senior AI Operations Engineer – Freelance (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior AI Operations Engineer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. As a Senior AI Operations Engineer, you will operate and continuously improve AI systems built on the PIPE44 platform in client environments. Your focus will be on stability, quality, governance, and controlled evolution after go-live. What You'll Do

• Operate and maintain AI systems based on PIPE44 in client environments.
• Configure, deploy, and manage AI agents and workflows.
• Monitor AI behavior and execution outcomes.
• Maintain governed knowledge sources and monitor retrieval quality.
• Handle quality incidents and support integrations with client systems.
• Act as the operational owner of AI systems after go-live.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience operating complex production systems (platform ops, SRE, production engineering, DevOps, or similar).
• Strong experience with API-based system integrations.
• Practical experience with LLM-based systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI agents and workflow automation.
• Solid grasp of access control and system governance.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and operational metrics.
