  • Lead initiatives to enhance model accuracy and robustness, developing visual overlays and explainability tools to support clinical decision-making.
  • Manage the full AI lifecycle from R&D to product deployment, executing experiments that translate research outcomes into production assets.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to define scalable deployment architectures and optimize system performance.
  • Work closely with pathologists to define clinical assessment strategies and contribute to validation planning consistent with clinical lab expectations.
  • Promote industry best practices by leading code reviews and mentoring AI team members to ensure high standards of software quality.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in developing deep learning-based computer vision systems, with ownership of at least one production-grade deployment.
  • Excellent proficiency in Python and PyTorch, with strong foundations in modern computer vision and machine learning methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Linux-based and containerized development, with familiarity in model serving and monitoring in production.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for AI model deployments.
  • Proven ability to design rigorous evaluation frameworks that reflect real-world clinical use cases.

Nice to Have

  • Master's or PhD in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Prior experience in medical imaging or digital pathology, especially with whole-slide images.
  • Familiarity with computational pathology software such as QuPath or CellProfiler.
  • Experience with MLOps practices, including model drift monitoring and performance regression analysis.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per year.
  • Flexible remote work options to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
