Senior Accountant - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant - Remote to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will manage financial reporting, journal entries, and account reconciliations while ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our financial operations, contributing to budget preparation and variance analysis.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate financial data.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights.
• Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors.
• Lead training programs for junior accountants and contribute to employee development initiatives.
• Utilize ERP systems such as NetSuite and QuickBooks Online for financial management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and reporting.
• Maintain effective communication with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and address any inquiries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as NetSuite and QuickBooks Online.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
• Experience with tax returns and compliance (GST/HST) is a plus.
