About the Role
We are excited to offer a Rooms Summer Internship at The Windsor Court, providing a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the hospitality industry. This internship program lasts ten to twelve weeks and is designed to immerse you in various departments, enhancing your skills and knowledge in hotel operations. As a Rooms Summer Intern, you will learn about guest services, food and beverage operations, and management/sales strategies, all while working in a vibrant environment.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the Operations Track, where you will learn key service elements for memorable guest experiences.
- Gain experience as a Front Desk Representative, handling guest registrations and requests.
- Work as a Guestroom Attendant, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms.
- Assist in the Food & Beverage Track, serving guests and preparing food in the restaurant.
- Engage in Management/Sales training, focusing on revenue management and sales forecasting.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or associate’s degree (A.A.) in hospitality, hotel, or tourism management.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to express ideas clearly.
- Ability to manage difficult customer situations with professionalism.
- Adaptability to a demanding and fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on business needs.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with hospitality software or point-of-sale systems.
