Roaming Chef - Culinary Leadership in Highland Hotels

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Roaming Chef to join our growing team at Highland Coast Hotels. This Roaming Chef remote position offers a unique opportunity to work across our portfolio of distinctive hotels located in the breathtaking Scottish Highlands. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences that celebrate Scotland’s outstanding natural larder.

What You'll Do

• Provide culinary leadership and expertise across various hotel locations during peak operational periods.
• Support kitchen teams by covering holidays, assisting with recruitment transitions, and launching new menus.
• Ensure high standards of food quality and consistency across all kitchens.
• Quickly integrate with different teams, upholding brand standards and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Work closely with General Managers to enhance operational performance and guest satisfaction.
• Travel between Highland locations as needed, with accommodation provided where necessary.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-quality hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate kitchen teams in diverse settings.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Adaptable and resilient, capable of integrating into new teams quickly.
• A passion for seasonal Scottish produce and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• High standards of food safety, kitchen organization, and cost control.

Nice to Have

• Experience working across multiple sites or supporting teams operationally.
• Knowledge of local Highland suppliers and producers.
