About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Resource Teacher - Remote to join our team at Layne Elementary School for the 2026-2027 academic year. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide support and guidance to students and staff while working remotely. As a Resource Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the educational development of students, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to thrive in their academic journey.

What You'll Do

  • Provide support, assistance, and advice to school staff and service centers in the area of assignment.
  • Collaborate with educators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Facilitate professional development workshops for teachers to enhance their instructional practices.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with a valid Kentucky Teaching Certificate.
  • Three (3) years of successful teaching experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Consultant certification (CA-27) in the area/grade span is required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in special education or working with students with disabilities.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and remote teaching tools.
