Senior Frontend Engineer - React.js Expert for AI Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team at Photoroom. As a Senior Frontend Engineer remote, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing a scalable, high-performance web application that delivers exceptional user experiences. Your expertise in React.js, state management with MobX, and frontend performance optimization will be essential in building applications that cater to millions of users.

What You'll Do

• Architect and develop a scalable and high-performing web application using React.js and TypeScript.
• Effectively manage the application state, ensuring responsive and efficient user interfaces with MobX.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend components with backend services.
• Implement design specs, plan workload, and communicate risks effectively.
• Analyze product design complexity and optimize web application performance, focusing on rendering speed and runtime efficiency.
• Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and best practices, integrating them into our projects to drive innovation and excellence.
• Work within a small multicultural team of ~80 passionate, friendly & committed folks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in architecting and developing large-scale web applications, like SaaS platforms that have scaled to millions of users.
• In-depth knowledge of React.js and a strong understanding of component-based architecture.
• Expertise with state management using MobX or good knowledge of the observer pattern.
• Good communication skills and the ability to reach out to relevant stakeholders.
• Autonomous, pragmatic, and favor speed of iteration over perfection.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break complex technical challenges into manageable tasks.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Typescript, Canvas, TailwindCSS, Turborepo, Vite, Playwright, and Web Performance.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Previous experience in a remote work environment.
