Resource Manager - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced Resource Manager to join our team remotely. As a Resource Manager, you will oversee and optimise the resource management and associated operational processes. This critical role will be highly visible and serve as an important connective tissue across several teams with different technical expertise.

What You'll Do

• Ensure the efficient deployment of our workforce and manage project staffing.
• Engage with team members to understand their skills and implement strategies to maximise productivity.
• Find opportunities to improve the use of existing tools or leverage AI to enhance operations.
• Develop, implement, and manage resource management tools, systems, and processes to meet business demand.
• Manage the allocation of personnel to projects based on commercial contracts and agreed delivery schedules.
• Work closely with sales, presales, practice leads, and project managers to forecast demand and manage resource allocation effectively.
• Forecast and report resource capacity including bench, hiring, and project roll-off.
• Maintain visibility of current and upcoming projects to forecast resource needs.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and improve resource efficiency.
• Identify gaps in skill sets and help identify recruitment needs and initiatives to ensure the right mix of talent.
• Support practices to maximise team productivity, including reporting.
• Innovate across business operations, systems, and processes to create and scale a Resource Management model with a focus on automation and AI adoption.

Requirements

• Proven experience (5 years+) in resource management in a similar technology services business.
• Experience dealing with teams of over 100 resources.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in resource planning best practices and tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Agility to adapt to shifting demands and priorities.
• Solid understanding of success metrics and a strong understanding of delivery and business operations.
• Solid understanding of technologies, with experience of working with engineering teams (Cloud, Data, Software).

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI tools and automation in resource management.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies.
