Remote US Client Accounting Advisor - Strategic Financial Partner

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote US Client Accounting Advisor to join our team at Cloud Accountant Staffing. This role is designed for a strategic financial partner who will work with multiple US-based clients, helping them understand their financial performance and make informed decisions. As a Remote US Client Accounting Advisor, you will blend your accounting expertise with advisory leadership, ensuring that you not only prepare reports but also engage with clients to explain their financial performance, identify bottlenecks, and guide them toward operational and financial improvements.

What You'll Do

• Meet with clients regularly to review financial statements and performance, explaining results in clear, non-technical language.
• Provide actionable recommendations based on financial data, helping clients understand job costing, profitability, cash flow, and key performance drivers.
• Oversee and perform bookkeeping and accounting functions in QuickBooks, ensuring reconciliations are accurate and completed on time.
• Identify accounting and operational bottlenecks and guide clients toward practical, measurable solutions.
• Serve as the primary financial advisor for assigned clients, proactively communicating updates, risks, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal accounting team members to maintain service quality and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, ideally supporting multiple clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (preferred).
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (Online preferred).
• Experience with financial statement review, reconciliations, and advisory discussions.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel.
• Clear and confident communication skills, particularly in client-facing settings.
