About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Technical Account Manager to join our innovative team at FireMon. In this role, you will be the technical advocate for our customers, ensuring their needs are met across all offerings, including services, training, support, and product development. As a Remote Technical Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing customer relationships and driving satisfaction through proactive engagement and support.

What You'll Do

  • Manage overall relationships with assigned end-users, focusing on increasing adoption and ensuring retention and satisfaction.
  • Provide project leadership for major FireMon programs, collaborating cross-functionally with Support, R&D, Product Management, and Sales.
  • Communicate customers' technical issues and project needs effectively to internal teams.
  • Maintain current functional and technical knowledge of the FireMon product line and provide hands-on support for system health checks, user and device management, troubleshooting, upgrades, and monitoring activities.
  • Manage multiple customer engagements, balancing priorities and driving resolution across requests.
  • Share insights and constructive feedback with internal teams to improve products and customer experiences.
  • Document best practices in developing and deploying FireMon solutions in customer environments.
  • Be a technical resource for best practices and other customer inquiries, identifying alternative technical solutions to business problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management, technical account management, professional services, or similar customer-facing roles.
  • Three or more years of experience managing or architecting complex network infrastructures.
  • Experience in client-server applications, Unix/Linux system administration, or software development.
  • At least one active technical certification (e.g., CCNA or equivalent) and a commitment to continuous learning through additional certifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance technical detail and customer impact.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple customer needs simultaneously.
  • Effective communicator capable of engaging stakeholders from technical teams to senior IT leadership.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with modern software development methodologies and infrastructure design best practices.
  • Proven success in customer-facing roles, particularly in implementation or support settings.
