About the Role

We're hiring a Remote Staff Security Engineer to join our dynamic team at DoorDash. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the security of our global infrastructure, which supports our three-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and Dashers. As a Remote Staff Security Engineer, you will lead threat modeling, hardening, and the operation of security services within DoorDash's Product and Cloud Security domains.

What You'll Do

  • Lead threat modeling initiatives to identify and mitigate security risks across our platforms.
  • Design, harden, and operationalize security services that protect our delivery network.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure systems and processes.
  • Develop and implement security best practices and guidelines for the organization.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum security.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in security engineering or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in threat modeling and security service operations.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and practices.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).
