Remote Senior Full Stack Engineer - Financial Services Focus

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Remote Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team at Zinkworks. As a key player in our organization, you will work closely with one of our leading financial services clients to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. This Remote Senior Full Stack Engineer role is part of a strategic program focused on migrating their account opening capabilities to modern Java-based services, enhancing performance and integration across their technology stack.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and secure Java-based applications.
• Utilize Spring and Spring Boot frameworks to deliver high-performance services.
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces using Angular.
• Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability across distributed systems.
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including architects, testers, and DevOps engineers.
• Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers.
• Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines to ensure efficient delivery.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java (17+) and the Spring Framework.
• Proficient in building applications with Angular (17+).
• Solid understanding of full stack development, including frontend, backend, and API integration.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Good understanding of modern frontend development practices, including component-based design and responsive UI.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to financial services or highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of security best practices for cloud-native applications.
