About the Role

Bloomreach is seeking a Remote Senior Engineering Manager for Data Pipeline to lead our innovative team. As part of our mission to revolutionize personalization through AI, you'll play a crucial role in shaping how businesses connect with their customers. Your leadership will directly impact the processing, routing, and storage of hundreds of millions of customer interactions daily across various enterprise sectors.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a high-performing Data Pipeline team of 6–7 engineers, including a Staff Engineer, Senior Engineers, SREs, Data Engineers, and a QA Engineer.
  • Oversee the hot-path tracking pipeline, ensuring efficient ingestion, validation, routing, and processing of real-time customer events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance Bloomreach Engagement's capabilities and drive product innovation.
  • Implement best practices in data management and engineering to optimize performance and reliability.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Engage with stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business objectives and customer needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in engineering management, preferably in data engineering or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, real-time event processing, and data storage solutions.
  • Proficiency in relevant technologies and tools used in data ingestion and processing.
  • Experience leading teams and managing complex engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI and machine learning technologies.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and customer engagement strategies.
  • Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure management.
