Remote Senior Backend Software Engineer - Go/​Rust Focus

About the Role

We are looking for a Remote Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team at Teleport. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work on enhancing our infrastructure identity solutions. This role involves tackling complex problems related to networking, performance, security, and integrations with external systems. You will be involved in the full product lifecycle, from understanding customer needs to designing, implementing, testing, and documenting solutions. With a focus on open source development, you will primarily work with Go and Rust.

What You'll Do

• Develop backend integrations with cloud providers' managed databases.
• Enhance scalability and resiliency of clusters with over 10,000 nodes.
• Implement advanced HTTPS proxy with identity-aware access control.
• Build hardened security features for Linux and Mac users.
• Collaborate with customers to identify their challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Write and maintain documentation for your designs and implementations.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to our open-source projects.
• Engage with the team through Slack and complete coding challenges in Go.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Go or Rust programming languages.
• Experience in Linux systems engineering.
• Cryptography engineering experience is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
