Maintenance Operative - Field Based (Remote Opportunities)

About the Role

Are you a competent and multiskilled Maintenance professional looking for a new challenge? We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join our team, providing property maintenance and repair services across our care homes and other areas of the business. This Maintenance Operative remote role allows you to work as part of an integral team, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance and repair procedures such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, painting, basic electrics, and gardening skills.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate and complete all aspects of general maintenance and repair in our homes.
• Complete any other maintenance tasks as required, collaborating with the wider maintenance team.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, reporting any issues to management.
• Work one Saturday every 6 weeks as part of your responsibilities.
• Utilize IT systems, including Jira, to manage and update jobs efficiently.

Requirements

• Experience in all aspects of general maintenance with the ability to perform work to a high standard.
• Proficiency in plastering, building, and decorating to provide a comprehensive maintenance service.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing.
• Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with all levels of the organization.
• Experience in the safe use of powered hand and bench tools.
• A full driving license is essential, with flexibility to travel across our homes.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a similar role within the property management or care sector.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations specific to maintenance work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
